Make your own infographic.
I like playing with spreadsheets and making graphs -- heck, I even line-charted my knitting mojo for last year's KCBW!
So for this year, I wanted to step it up. I had originally thought to demonstrate that I used to knit with nothing finer than worsted weight, and that I only started buying laceweight after knitting a mess of shawls, aaaaand that got boring quickly.
(I know, right, how is that possible?)
Instead I thought it would be interesting to see the frequency with which I knit certain types of projects throughout my Rav life!
Cowls happen: for that one Christmas, and by my mom's request...
Mitts get dotted through evenly... sweaters and scarves are few...
I get baby knit fever (they're just so small!) and shawl sickness...

Eh. I dunno, there it is.

Excellent infographic! There is so much info:)
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed by your infographic. Lots of information visualised. WOW!
ReplyDeleteWow you nailed it. I just saw another blog where the knitter suffered from shawl illness ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat's really interesting, thus is another one is love to do for myself. I suspect my 'no knitting had a baby' period was much longer than yours.
ReplyDeleteHeck, that's a great graphic! I especially like the context--otherwise I would have been all, "what the heck happened that month?" :-)
ReplyDeleteThat looks so scientific :-)
ReplyDeleteYour infographic looks so much nicer than mine! I didn't really try to be accurate, haha. I'm hoping that if I have a baby I won't put down my needles, but eventually babies grow into toddlers and then I'll probably have to take a break.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for the subject! I should do something like that, I know my knitting tastes have changed over time.

ReplyDeleteI'm quite impressed by this detailed infographic! It looks much more impressive than the one I made, and I'm certain that it contains much more information!
I love the context you add to your knitting timeline.
ReplyDeleteThere's one new mom I know who is still blogging. I don't know how anybody could physically find an opportunity with a new baby, unless they're doing it one-handed.
I should think this is interesting to see if you go through phases and change projects with the seasons? It looks very proffesional!
ReplyDeleteThis is so detailed, its interesting to see what occupies your time and how many projects you have going :)
ReplyDeleteWow. This is an impressive infographic. I like how you track changes depending on what is going on in your life.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting way to view your knitting cycle. It makes sense. I can look back and see hat manic periods for me.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you added context to your graph because many times what we are going through in other areas of our lives do reflect what projects are on our needles/hook. Ironically, I knitted more when my little guy was a baby. Now that he is seven & has a social life busier than mine, I have to grab a few minutes of knitting time here & there.
ReplyDeleteSo much info in your infographic!
